I have been ordained as a priest since 2003. I have always worked in the church in one way or another since leaving university – for a year I worked in an inner London state primary school as a “Pastoral Assistant” – which was eye-opening. I have previously been a school governor for Panshanger Primary School in Hertfordshire. I have mostly worked in University-level education - before coming to Harborne, I was Chaplain and Fellow of Brasenose College, Oxford.
Obviously as a priest I’m concerned with worship, prayer, doctrine and what might be called “ethos”; I also have a keen interest in the culture of institutions and how institutions can work better together.
I have a passion for transparency, openness and good communication: if any governor wants to contact me on any matter of concern I am always glad to hear it – no matter how small it may seem.
