Dr Laura Sadler

Hi, I'm Laura and I am one of the Foundation Governors on the Governing Body.  This means my appointment is through the Diocese and my connection to the School comes from being a member of the congregation at St Peter's Church.  Here I am one of the Junior Church Leaders and a member of the Parochial Church Council (PCC).  I also represent our Church at the Warley and Edgbaston Deanery Synod.

In my day job, I work for NHS England and Improvement in the Midlands Region, where I've recently been appointed as Head of System Improvement and Clinical Services.  My role involves working with health and care systems through Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) from across the Midlands Region to improve and transform care experience for patients.  I have worked within the NHS for the last 10+ years in a variety of areas including; cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, maternity and newborn, mental health, vaccination.  This has also involved working with NICE and carrying out research.  I completed my PhD at the University of Manchester, where I also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher and my undergraduate/masters studies at the University of Birmingham.  I have also worked within higher education - including within careers services and as an auditor for The Quality Assurance Agency (QAA).
