Safeguarding Children

At St Peter's CE Primary School, we adhere to The Birmingham Safeguarding Children's Board and we have a statutory duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of all our children. We expect all staff, governors, visitors and volunteers to share this commitment. The health and safety of all children is paramount.

If you have any concerns that a child is being harmed, is at risk of harm or you receive a disclosure, you must inform our Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL), or in their absence the head Teacher. Do not worry that you may be reporting matters that seem small - we would rather you tell us something that does turn out to be a minor issue than miss a worrying situation.

Any allegation or disclosure involving a member of staff, governor, a volunteer in school, a parent and/or a child's foster carer, must be reported directly to the Headteacher, unless it involves the Headteacher, in which case it should be reported to the Chair of the Governing Body, Dr B. Scholefield, c/o the school office. Our Safeguarding Policy can be found in policies.
