Colourful Semantics is a Speech and Language therapy technique. It uses colour-coded cards to help children to learn the important elements of a sentence, and how to join them together in the correct order to make sense. This not only supports children when speaking but also when writing sentences. The different colours help the children to say and write sentences in the correct order and provides a framework to develop an increasingly wider vocabulary. At St. Peter’s it is used with both individuals and with groups of children.
