Safeguarding Children

Our DSL's in school:

EYFS/KS1: Mrs K Bass  - k.bass@st-petersce.bham.sch.uk

KS2: Mrs L. James - l.james@st-petersce.bham.sch.uk

Deputy DSL: Mrs E. Murphy - e.murphy@st-petersce.bham.sch.uk

At St Peter's CE Primary School, we adhere to The Birmingham Safeguarding Children's Board and we have a statutory duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of all our children. Safeguarding is EVERYONE'S responsibility so we expect all staff, governors, visitors and volunteers to share in this commitment. The health and safety of all our children is paramount.

Never assume that it couldn't happen at St. Peter's. If you have any concerns that a child is being harmed, is at risk of harm or you receive a disclosure, you must inform our Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL), or in their absence the Head Teacher. Do not worry that you may be reporting matters that seem small - we would rather you tell us something that does turn out to be a minor issue than miss a worrying situation.

In the event of a school closure the DSL's can be contacted on their school emails.

Any allegation or disclosure involving a member of staff, governor, a volunteer in school, a parent and/or a child's foster carer, must be reported directly to the Headteacher, unless it involves the Headteacher, in which case it should be reported to the Chair of the Governing Body, Mr Mike Down, c/o the school office. Our Safeguarding Policy can be found in our policies section.

Thank you for supporting the children of St Peter's CE Primary School
