Hello.. My name is Matt Lorimer and I am Local Authority Governor. This means that I am appointed on behalf of Birmingham City Council. I have been a Governor at St Peters since February 2017. During this time I have been a committee member and chair of the Staffing and Curriculum Committee which meets every half term.
Prior to joining St Peters I was a Governor at a school in Wolverhampton, so I have been a Governor now since 2012 covering three Ofsted inspections also.
I have a wide range of experience, I am currently a Civil Servant working for the Food Standards Agency in Digital and Transformational Change. I have held roles working at The National Lottery Community Fund, and Royal Bank of Scotland Group. I am also a Board Member of Citizens Advice Sandwell and Walsall.
I do not have a connection to St Peters School or St Peters Church but I do live in the area which helps to add a different perspective and a healthy challenge at Governor meetings. I am happy to chat with anyone who would like to chat and I can be contacted via the school enquiry email address.
