I have been a Foundation Governor at St Peter's since 2018, serving as a committee member, vice-chair and now chair, which I have found to be a rewarding and stretching experience. My role involves offering support, challenge and advice to our headteacher, Mrs Murphy. I am also the Safeguarding Lead governor.
I have been a teacher for almost 20 years (Eeek!) and have also worked for the Church of England Birmingham Diocese, leading projects between schools and their local churches. I am passionate to see all children have a fantastic time in school, that they feel safe, known and understood there, and have the best opportunities to develop a love of learning so that they can flourish in life.
I am married to Sarah, and have my own children who attend other local schools. As a family, we worship at St Mary's Church in Bearwood. I see my role at St Peter's as a way to serve our local community.
Although I am not around school at drop off and pick up times, you can contact me via the enquiry email - enquiry@st-petersce.bham.sch.uk
